Homework, and whether the class is doing it
Assign a lesson, revision, or stroke-order practice with a due date. It marks itself when the student does the work. Open a class to see who is active, how far it has got, and what it keeps missing.
Your own character sets
Build your own sets from our database of 13,294 items and decide exactly which characters your students are taught and tested on. Assign a set to a class and it is taught and revised automatically. Our level system can be switched off entirely, so your sequence is the only one they see.

Spaced repetition that schedules itself
Every character a student learns enters an eight-stage review schedule. They see it again just before they would have forgotten it, and stop seeing it once it has genuinely stuck.
Stroke order as its own skill
Handwriting is tracked separately from reading, with its own lessons and its own review schedule, so a student who can read a character still has to prove they can write it.
Extra drills for the characters they keep missing
Beyond the daily reviews, students get four practice modes, including one that drills only the characters they personally keep getting wrong and one timed round against the whole deck they have learned.

Everything above runs on one sequenced catalog built to the HSK 3.0 standard, where every character knows which components it is made of and every word knows which characters it needs.
How a school account works
We set up your school
You tell us how many students you need and how long for. We create the account and send you a join code.
Students join with the code
They sign up as normal and enter the code, which links them to your school and lifts the paywall on their account. Students who already have an account can add the code from their settings.
You group them and set work
Sort students into classes, set homework with due dates, and check the dashboard when you want to know who has done it.
Common questions
Do students need to pay individually?
No. Students on a school account get full access without a personal subscription. You get a join code, students enter it when they sign up, and the paywall does not apply to them for as long as the school account is active.
What does it cost?
School pricing depends on how many students you need and for how long, so it is agreed directly rather than published. Tell us the size of your program and we will quote it.
Which curriculum does it follow?
HSK 3.0, the current standard, across all nine levels. The database holds 13,294 items: 832 components, 3,002 characters and 9,460 vocabulary words, sequenced over 100 internal levels so that nothing is taught before its parts.
Do you handle traditional characters?
No. The platform teaches simplified characters only.
How do students sign up?
You get a join code in the format HANZI-XXXX-XXXX. Students register normally and enter the code, which links them to your school and consumes one seat. Students who already have an account can enter the code from their settings.
