Hanzi Express is a Chinese character learning platform operated by Hanzi Express, LLC. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@hanziexpress.com.

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. As you use the platform, we store your learning progress: characters learned, review history, accuracy, and streak data. This is what makes the spaced repetition system work.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe may store billing information under their own privacy policy.

We also collect your country, inferred from your IP address at sign-up, and basic usage data through Google Analytics.

We use your data to run the service, send you account emails (verification, password reset), and improve the product. We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing emails beyond what you sign up for.

We share data with Stripe to process payments. No one else. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@hanziexpress.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or a notice on the platform.
