By creating an account or using Hanzi Express, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including individual learners and institutional accounts.

Hanzi Express is a Chinese character learning platform operated by Hanzi Express, LLC. We provide structured lessons, spaced repetition reviews, stroke order practice, and progress tracking. The first three levels are available free of charge. Full access requires a paid subscription.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly at $4.99 or annually at $49.99. Institutional pricing is agreed separately. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@hanziexpress.com within 14 days.

You agree not to misuse the service. This includes attempting to access other users' accounts, scraping or copying our content, using the platform for any unlawful purpose, or interfering with the operation of the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in serious cases. If your account is terminated for a violation, you are not entitled to a refund. You may delete your own account at any time by contacting support@hanziexpress.com.

Hanzi Express is provided as-is. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of progress, or damages arising from use of the service beyond the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

All content on Hanzi Express, including lessons, characters, and course structure, is owned by Hanzi Express, LLC. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission. Your personal learning data belongs to you.

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
